how are you dealing with current COVID-19 restrictions?
To provide the highest quality party experience that we can offer, we believe that children need to be able to express themselves freely without limitations such as social distancing. With that in mind, we have suspended all in-person performances until social distancing guidelines have been lifted. As of April 2022, most restrictions that would prohibit closer interactions in-person have been lifted, and we are slowly working towards in-person performances as soon as possible.
We want to emphasize that children's entertainment is considered a NON-ESSENTIAL service. We do not want to resume our services until it is 💯% safe to do so. We believe that as a non-essential service, this is our responsibility to help keep EVERYONE safe.
We are currently offering personalized video messages, scheduled FaceTime calls & Zoom Party calls for kids who are trapped indoors right now. It's not quite the same as a live performance, but it definitely helps make the day special, even if they're staying home.

What is the cost for a performance?
Higher Function performances all vary in price depending on 3 variables:
1. Character
2. Performance Length
3. Distance Traveled.

How do I pay for a performance?
All Higher Function performances can be paid by cash, check, debit or credit card (via electronic invoice). A non-refundable deposit of $75 (or payment in full) of the performance cost is required BEFORE a booking can be confirmed. (see Terms & Conditions)
Performances are paid in full, immediately after an event or party. We do not do IOU's for performances. An invoice with the performance details will be sent to you upon confirmation of your performance booking which can be used to complete your payment.
What does a performance include?
Specific details on our party performances can be e-mailed out as requested. Any additional questions can be directed to our Creative Director Greg Marrast.

What is your availability?
Higher Function has limited availability for booking shows and performances, so be sure to contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to book your next exciting birthday party, special event, charity event or corporate event!
The best time to book Higher Function is 2-3 weeks BEFORE your intended special event or party.
Remember, performance spots do fill up fast; if you want to know if we've already been booked for a performance, be sure to visit our SCHEDULE page.
**NOTE** There is an additional charge of $25 for any performance booked within 4 days of a performance, and an additional $15 for any last minute bookings made ON THE SAME DAY AS PERFORMANCE. Last minute performances are difficult to coordinate and our performers do need adequate time to prepare costumes and props to facilitate the best performance for you.
Can I reschedule a performance after I've booked it?
We understand that things do happen and that performances need to be rescheduled at times.
Be sure to call in advance to reschedule your performance. We are fairly flexible and do not incur additional costs for rescheduling. Although the $25 charge for booking within 4 days of a party is still applicable for rescheduling, if the performance is moved to another day.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM # OF CHILDREN RECOMMENDED FOR A PERFORMANCE?
Each birthday party is designed to cater to a certain number of children. If your party is expecting more than 15 CHILDREN please let us know ASAP. In order for us to prepare appropriate treats for all of the children, such as stickers, candy & coloring sheets.
An additional fee may be requested to cover the costs of materials for any party larger than 15 children.
What entertainment do you provide specifically for girls?
We are currently working towards expanding our performer roster and introducing a few more female heroes to perform at parties for boys and for girls.
